Pristina – Wires

My favorite street in Pristina!

My favorite street in Pristina!

I need to make a premise: don’t hate me!

After the nice landscapes, the beach, the sea and nature of Nea Kallikrateia Coast, you light ask why the hell am I doing a post on the thousands dangerous wires hanging from the buildings of Pristina…

First of all because I live here!

Second, unbelievable but true, I find them extremely fascinating!

They tells me stories… stories of poor people, contorted ones, intertwined, just like the wires themselves.

After one month I still cannot tell you what I think about this place. It is so difficult to define.

I see its contradictions but somehow I am fascinated by them.

It is so different from the European countries where I used to live and somehow I am enjoying this change!

But the wires, seriously, I am addicted to them! Gisella makes fun of me because of this unusual passion.

Get accustomed to them! I might post more😂

  1. You are right, these wires tell so many stories. We had here some years ago two places like those wires, one just behind our window, and I took many, many photos of them. Now the wires are gone.

    1. And don’t you feel all alone, just like something is missing in your life?! I have to tell Gisella! She’s ashamed of me when I stop taking these puctures😅😅😅

      1. I miss them. I followed them at winter, they were frosty white, and when it was really cold they made some kind of a high sound. Then squirrels used them as roads.

      2. And there you go, I have just found another one who can appreciate ordinary things and who can find poetry where everybody else see “garbage”! Thank you, my dear😊

    1. I can’t remember if I did it in a former post or not. The fact is that I talk about it everyday with the few Italians that are staying here…because actually the differences are important! I won’t say that it is for good or for bad. As you can imagine both of the aspects are present but so far I am really enjoying living here (and consider that usually I am fairly critical! 😂)
